Alain was born and educated in France, where he originally trained as a French chef.
He moved to London to work at one of London's greatest restaurants and started producing cookbooks in collaboration with an Australian photographer as food stylist and photo assistant.

After moving around for some years, he finally established himself in Stockholm, Sweden to work
for the editorial and advertising sector, covering various subjects, such as food, lifestyle, travel, interiors, architecture, industry and aviation.

Alain:
"To me a photographer is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider's web. It's about finding something graphically interesting in an ordinary place. I've found it has little to do with the things you see but everything to do with the way you see them. Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still".
